Inspired by Yr Ysgwrn: A century of creativity

107 years since Hedd Wyn died in the First World War, a new permanent exhibition has been established at Yr Ysgwrn, titled ‘Yr Ysgwrn Inspires’. This exhibition highlights the deep impact of Yr Ysgwrn on literature, art, and music over the past century.

From poets like T.H. Parry-Williams to Twm Morys, and artists like Rob Piercy and Luned Rhys Parri, this farmhouse in Trawsfynydd has inspired many over the years.

The Welsh dresser
Students from Ysgol Bro Hedd Wyn in Trawsfynydd worked with artist Mari Gwent to contribute a vibrant interpretation of the Welsh dresser at Yr Ysgwrn, adding a special touch to the exhibition.

A big thank you to Lois Prys for planning the exhibition, Branwen Haf for curating it, and Kevin Lane for setting it up.
